Day 5 - Going on a hike!
Today was quite the adventure! We hopped on a boat at the pier and headed over to an island. I don't know if I mentioned the mosquitoes in Brazil yet but there are A LOT of them!! We wore repellent nonstop and still got eaten alive! This was the first time where we would be in a jungle type of environment and I LOVED IT!! I could have stayed there all day!! We literally coasted on the river with land on both sides that was stunning! I had to pinch myself a few times to make sure I wasn't dreaming! You will probably see a familiar theme from me throughout this blog about my experience and that is that I LOVE the people! I interacted with as many of them as I could. I wish I had more time to really get to know their stories and chat with them more. We stopped at Boa Vista do Acará.
